Seismic Hazard Assessment for the next generation Map

A Japan, Korea, China cooperative research project

Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessment Issues in the island arc of Japan and Taiwan

National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention (NIED) and the Taiwan Earthquake Model (TEM)

Based on the lessons learnt from recent destructive earthquakes and the awareness of unexpected earthquakes possibly occuring in the future, scientists on both sides have consensus of cooperative researches to share data, knowledge and information to mitigate the disasters.
